De Elzas is een smal wijnbouwgebied in het oosten van Frankrijk, tussen de Vogezen en de Rijn.
De streek maakt droge Riesling, aromatische Gewürztraminer en late oogstwijnen met rijke fruittonen.
Op het etiket staat meestal de druif en het wijnhuis. De gemeente of het dorp komt minder centraal dan in Bourgogne.
