Clos des Lambrays
Clos des Lambrays is een ommuurde Grand Cru in Morey-Saint-Denis, in de Côte de Nuits in Bourgogne, in Frankrijk. De eerste schriftelijke vermelding dateert uit 1365, toen de wijngaard verbonden was met de abdij van Cîteaux.
Officiële Grand Cru-status volgde in 1981. Domaine des Lambrays bezit vrijwel het hele historische clos. Daardoor is het een van de zeldzame bijna-monopoles in Bourgogne. Delen van het clos worden samengevoegd tot één expressie van het terroir.
De wijn is Pinot Noir. Oudere jaargangen kunnen kers, roos, bosgrond en kruiden tonen met fijne tannine en frisse zuren.
Clos des Lambrays
Clos des Lambrays is a walled Grand Cru in Morey-Saint-Denis, in the Côte de Nuits in Bourgogne, in France. The first written mention dates from 1365, when the vineyard was linked to the abbey of Cîteaux.
Official Grand Cru status followed in 1981. Domaine des Lambrays owns almost the whole historic clos. That makes it one of the rare near-monopoles in Bourgogne. Parts of the clos are blended into one expression of the terroir.
The wine is Pinot Noir. Older vintages can show cherry, rose, woodland and herbs with fine tannin and fresh acidity.
