alcoholvrije wijn, alcoholvrij

alcoholvrije wijn, alcoholvrij
Wine with at most 0.5 percent alcohol. Usually made by first vinifying ordinary wine and then removing alcohol. Often by vacuum, then the boiling point is lower. Taste, residual sugar and calories differ strongly by producer. More and more restaurants in the Netherlands make their own drinks for an alcohol-free pairing next to the menu.
Kombucha, mocktails and lemonades do not only replace bottles from the shelf. Colleagues sometimes call the maker a sappelier. See also: wine and food
