Domaine Besson
Domaine Besson, opgericht in 1938, is een familiedomein gelegen in het pittoreske Givry, in de regio Côte Chalonnaise. Het domein exploiteert 12 hectare wijngaarden en creëert wijnen van de twee edele druivenrassen uit de Bourgogne: Chardonnay en Pinot Noir. Al meer dan tachtig jaar heeft dit domein zich toegelegd op het produceren van hoogwaardige wijnen die de essentie van hun terroir weerspiegelen.
Met Guillemette en Xavier Besson als toegewijde wijnmakers sinds 1989, en hun zoon Henri-Vital die in 2017 toetrad tot het bedrijf als de vierde generatie, is Domaine Besson een ware uiting van traditie en vakmanschap. Het domein telt twee monumenten die zijn opgenomen in de inventaris van historische monumenten.
Een van deze monumenten is de unieke kelder uit de zeventiende eeuw, met zijn prachtige booggewelven. Maar het meest bekende monument is het prachtige achttiende-eeuws gebouw, dat ook op de flesetiketten wordt afgebeeld. Dit toont de geschiedenis en het erfgoed van het domein.
Domaine Besson
Domaine Besson, founded in 1938, is a family estate in picturesque Givry, in the Côte Chalonnaise. The estate works 12 hectares of vineyard and makes wines from the two noble grape varieties of Bourgogne: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. For more than eighty years this estate has focused on making high-quality wines that reflect the essence of their terroir.
With Guillemette and Xavier Besson as dedicated winemakers since 1989, and their son Henri-Vital who joined the business in 2017 as the fourth generation, Domaine Besson is a true expression of tradition and craft. The estate has two monuments listed in the inventory of historic monuments.
One of these monuments is the unique cellar from the seventeenth century, with its fine vaulted arches. But the best-known monument is the fine eighteenth-century building, which is also shown on the bottle labels. This shows the history and heritage of the estate.
