Domaine Chevigny Rousseau
Domaine Chevigny-Rousseau is een familiebedrijf met een rijke geschiedenis, gelegen in het hart van de Bourgogne. Het domein, opgericht drie generaties geleden, draagt de namen van zowel de vader, Chevigny als de moeder, Rousseau van de huidige wijnmaker, Pascal Chevigny. Sinds 1984 leidt Pascal het domein, dat hij overnam van zijn vader, Michel Chevigny.
Inmiddels werkt zijn dochter, Alexandrine Chevigny, mee in het familiebedrijf en zal zij in de toekomst de leiding overnemen. De oorsprong van het domein gaat terug tot 1947, toen Lucien Rousseau de eerste wijnstokken plantte in het terroir ‘Aux Champs Perdrix’ in Vosne-Romanée. Dit prestigieuze wijngebied staat wereldwijd bekend om zijn uitzonderlijke kwaliteit.
Door de jaren heen heeft Domaine Chevigny-Rousseau zijn wijngaarden uitgebreid met meerdere appellaties, voornamelijk in de Côte de Nuits, terwijl het trouw blijft aan de traditionele Bourgondische wijnbouwmethoden. Het domein beslaat ongeveer vier hectare en wordt op duurzame en traditionele wijze beheerd.
De wijnbouw is zorgvuldig afgestemd op de specifieke uitdagingen van elk oogstjaar. In de kelder hanteert Pascal de klassieke Bourgondische vinificatiemethoden: de druiven worden volledig ontsteeld, de extractie gebeurt uiterst gecontroleerd en de wijnen rijpen in een zorgvuldig geselecteerd assortiment Franse eikenhouten vaten.

Domaine Chevigny-Rousseau is a family business with a rich history, in the heart of Bourgogne. The estate, founded three generations ago, carries the names of both the father, Chevigny, and the mother, Rousseau, of the current winemaker, Pascal Chevigny. Since 1984 Pascal has led the estate, which he took over from his father, Michel Chevigny.
His daughter, Alexandrine Chevigny, now works in the family business and will take over the lead in the future. The origin of the estate goes back to 1947, when Lucien Rousseau planted the first vines in the terroir Aux Champs Perdrix in Vosne-Romanée. This prestigious wine area is known worldwide for its exceptional quality.
Over the years Domaine Chevigny-Rousseau has widened its vineyards with several appellations, mainly in the Côte de Nuits, while it stays true to traditional Burgundian growing methods. The estate covers about four hectares and is run in a lasting and traditional way.
Growing is carefully matched to the specific challenges of each vintage. In the cellar Pascal uses classic Burgundian vinification methods: the grapes are fully destemmed, extraction is tightly controlled and the wines age in a carefully chosen range of French oak barrels.
