Domaine Marc Colin Fils
Marc Colin startte het wijndomein eind jaren ‘70. Samen met zijn vrouw Michèle namen zij de wijngaarden over van verschillende generaties van de families Colin en Ponavoy, waarbij sommige percelen al meer dan een eeuw in familiebezit zijn. Zij verbouwden vervolgens ongeveer 6 hectare wijngaarden in de gemeenten Chassagne- Montrachet en Saint-Aubin en bleven het domein ontwikkelen in de jaren 1980 en 1990.
Vandaag beheren twee van hun kinderen, Caroline en Damien, het domein dat 12 hectare beslaat en 26 appellaties omvat in de dorpen Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet en Santenay Op een deel van de wijngaarden passen ze duurzame wijnbouwprincipes toe, op het andere deel testen ze met biologische teelt.
Door de regelmatige bodembewerking vermijden ze gebruik van chemicaliën voor onkruidbestrijding en verkrijgen ze druiven van onberispelijke kwaliteit. De productie bestaat uit regionale appellaties, gemeentelijke appellaties, 1er Cru en Grand cru, met een jaarlijks totaal van ongeveer 80.000 flessen, waarvan 90% wit en 10% rode wijn.
De witte wijnen worden gerijpt in een zoektocht naar zuiverheid, elegantie en lengte. De rode wijnen worden gevinifieerd met het oog op frisheid, knapperig fruit en zijdezachte tannines.

Marc Colin started the wine estate at the end of the 1970s. Together with his wife Michèle they took over the vineyards of several generations of the Colin and Ponavoy families, with some plots already in family hands for more than a century. They then grew about 6 hectares of vineyard in the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin and continued to develop the estate in the 1980s and 1990s.
Today two of their children, Caroline and Damien, manage the estate that covers 12 hectares and comprises 26 appellations in the villages of Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Santenay. On part of the vineyards they apply lasting growing principles, on the other part they test organic growing.
Through regular soil work they avoid using chemicals for weed control and obtain grapes of impeccable quality. Production consists of regional appellations, village appellations, 1er Cru and Grand Cru, with an annual total of about 80,000 bottles, of which 90% white and 10% red wine.
The white wines are aged in a search for purity, elegance and length. The red wines are vinified with an eye to freshness, crunchy fruit and silky tannins.
