Saladini Pilastri
Het verhaal van Saladini Pilastri begint meer dan duizend jaar geleden in de heuvels van de Marche, waar de gelijknamige adellijke familie zich diep met het land heeft verbonden. Sinds de 11e eeuw woont de familie op het landgoed in Spinetoli, waar hun villa uitkijkt over de Tronto-vallei.
Vandaag de dag zet Graaf Saladino Saladini Pilastri de wijntraditie voort. Saladini Pilastri behoort tot de eerste Italiaanse wijnhuizen die al in 1994 de overstap maakten naar gecertificeerde biologische wijnbouw. Met een wijngaardoppervlak van 150 hectare – verspreid over drie gemeenten, Spinetoli, Monteprandone en Monsampolo – biedt het domein een natuurlijke mozaïek van microklimaten en bodemtypes.
De frisse, kalkrijke en kiezelachtige bodems zorgen voor frisse witte wijnen, zanderige gronden zorgen voor elegantie, en klei voor structuur en bewaarpotentieel. Alles onder leiding van oenoloog Fabio Felicioni, die sinds 2021 waakt over stijl en kwaliteit. Saladini Pilastri is vandaag de dag een referentie voor biologische kwaliteitswijn uit Midden-Italië: elegant, gastronomisch en vol levendige expressie van terroir.
Saladini Pilastri
The story of Saladini Pilastri begins more than a thousand years ago in the hills of the Marche, where the noble family of the same name has stayed close to the land. Since the 11th century the family has lived on the estate in Spinetoli, where their villa looks out over the Tronto valley.
Today Count Saladino Saladini Pilastri continues the wine tradition. Saladini Pilastri was among the first Italian estates to switch to certified organic viticulture as early as 1994. With 150 hectares of vineyard across three communes, Spinetoli, Monteprandone and Monsampolo, the estate offers a natural mosaic of microclimates and soil types.
Fresh, calcareous and pebbly soils give fresh white wines, sandy soils give elegance, and clay gives structure and ageing potential. All this is under oenologist Fabio Felicioni, who has watched over style and quality since 2021. Saladini Pilastri is now a reference for organic quality wine from central Italy: elegant, gastronomic and full of lively terroir expression.
